UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE
- BROMLEY -

U3A Bromley has a wide choice of study groups. Some of the more academic subjects covered are - Art Appreciation, Computers, History, Local Studies, Languages, Literature, Music and Mathematics. Recreational activities include Crafts, Golf, Short Mat Bowls, Dancing, Walking, Keep Fit and Travel. Additionally, there are groups playing Bridge, Mah Jong, Scrabble and Chess.
Altogether there are over 90 different groups with something to interest everyone. If you have a particular interest in a subject that is not included, we offer assistance with starting one. Many smaller groups meet as ‘House Groups’, but as this limits the size there may be a waiting list. A second group could be started if a leader is found.
Larger groups may hire a local hall with a small charge made to cover the cost and speakers expenses. Some of the larger groups are ‘Open Groups’, and members are welcome to attend without first referring to the contact. A booklet listing all groups and contacts is supplied to all new members.
WHAT WE OFFER
The annual subscription is £10 per person. Groups using hired rooms pay a small fee towards the running costs.
