Psychology group visit to the Freud Museum
13th August 2025

Freud moved to London from Vienna in 1938 to escape the Nazis into this house in Hampstead with his wife and daughter Anna. He was already in his eighties and suffering from cancer and died the following year. Anna lived there until 1982 and, following her wishes, the house opened as a museum in 1986. It holds much of Freud’s furniture, including his famous couch, and the contents of his study. It offers a fascinating insight into Freud’s work and family life.
