Wider Horizons Group visit to Eltham Palace

These are some pictures with descriptions from the Wider Horizons Group visit to Eltham Palace on Sunday 14th July.  Floral exhibits in the main hall mostly depicted famous historical figures who had links with Eltham Palace. It was Edward IV’s most important country residence and he rebuilt much of the house.  His Queen, Elizabeth Woodville, gave birth to a baby girl there in 1479. Young Tudors such as Henry VII spent their childhood there.
