History of Fashion (Tues)

We explore the history of western fashion from the 12th to 20th century, initially chronologically then by theme. Fashion gives a clue to the zeitgeist so we will touch on history, art and famous people as we examine our ancestors and see how the opportunity to be fashionable filtered down through the classes. I also arrange group visits to galleries to which anyone is welcome.

This group started in January 2026 and is following the same content as the Friday History of Fashion group. This group has a few vacancies and so please contact Laraine if you are interested in joining.
