The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night at Bromley Little Theatre

6th December 2025

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night at Bromley Little Theatre

Adapted for the stage from a book by Mark Haddon this is the account of a 15 year old autistic boy’s endeavour to deduce who had killed a neighbour’s dog, the story being told from the boy’s point of view.

My 31 year old autistic grandson was with me at the performance so although Josh Clarkson’s interpretation of a 15 year old on the ASD spectrum seemed very authentic to me, it was invaluable to have his opinion. He thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very realistic as did another autistic person in the audience. The performances of the rest of the cast were excellent as always and they played multiple parts as they often do.

A relatively new member of our group had never been to a BLT show before and as the weather was bad she thought twice about bothering to go but was glad she did. She was amazed at the high standard of acting and said it was as good as the production she had seen in the West End! High praise indeed. The Theatre Group had 50 seats for this matinee performance and as always it was fully booked.
